Teamworking/Networking Course
There is now the opportunity for EPSRC-Pharma Synthesis students to attend a Teamworking/Networking course, which was originally designed for the Life Science Interface Doctoral Training Centres.
The three-day residential course is fairly intense and has been customised to appeal to those working at the physical/life science interface. Previous courses have been very well received by the students and they have found mixing with students from other disciplines particularly useful. The skills acquired on the course are useful in preparing students for some of the challenges they would expect to meet in their future careers, but might not be exposed to as a natural part of their PhD studies. Although other students on the courses will be mainly be in the first year of their studies, the courses are suitable for first or second year students.
Two courses are currently available:
Wychwood Park, Cheshire from Monday 22nd June late afternoon departing after breakfast on Friday 26th June.
Barony Castle, Peebles from Monday 29th June at afternoon departing after breakfast on Friday 3rd July.
Course fees and accommodation will be paid for from the training fund of the EPSRC Pharma Studentships.
